The annual Between the Waters Bike Tour is our major fundraiser. With YOUR support CBES can continue the fight to protect this rare, coastal gem we call home.

The seaside village of Wachapreague is the welcoming host for the start and finish of the 2026 Between the Waters Bike Tour. Affectionately called Little City By the Sea, Wachapreague’s charms provide the perfect location to revel in the natural beauty, history, and culture that is the Eastern Shore.

With its 33-year history, this is the oldest, largest such event in our region and is the standard bearer for the Eastern Shore cycling experience. A coastal Virginia tradition, 90% of our cyclists travel here from off the Eastern Shore to revel in the serene beauty. The bike tour is a perennial sellout at 1,200 cyclists.
